DEEPIKA TAKES HER ROLE A TAD TOO SERIOUSLY!
Deepika who has awed the Indian audiences with her performance in STAR Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum, has been on an awareness drive. Buzz is that this talented actress has been telling everyone around her about the importance of following traffic rules and regulations so as to keep themselves safe while driving. We also learnt that Deepika took her driver’s test to know if he had the basic knowledge about the rules and signs on the road. Even though he was bang on with the knowledge she took out time and got him to go through the literature that she collected especially for him. This is not all. She has made it a rule that anyone with bikes will have to wear a helmet or else the bike keys will be confiscated.
When contacted IPS officer Sandhya aka Deepika she affirmed the news and said, “We are a family in Diya Aur Baati Hum. While we are showing something that is of benefit for the audience, it is equally important that we ourselves must practice it. We all have made it compulsory for the team to ensure they are wearing helmets and coming to work. Moreover Mumbai roads are very slippery during monsoon hence it is a must for everyone to have helmets. While the character Sandhya is making the viewer’s aware of traffic laws, I am also trying to do the same thing in real life.”
