Dubai, Bangkok and Singapore emerge as the most booked destinations for travellers
from Madhya Pradesh in Q1 2018 as per travel trends identified by Booking.com

 

Madhya Pradesh,April 2018: As the first quarter of 2018 draws to a close, Booking.com, the world leader in booking accommodations online,has identified the most booked destinations by travellers from the state of Madhya Pradesh for the January to March period of 2018.

 

The Middle East and South-East Asia have proven to bebig draw cards with Dubai, Bangkok and Singapore topping the list of the international destinations booked by travellers from Madhya Pradesh.

 

When compared to 2017, the data revealed some interesting insights:

 

  1. Knysna, London, Amsterdam and Paris were highly-booked destinations for travellers from Madhya Pradesh during the same period last year, however, this year travellers were booking Kuala Lumpur, Patong Beach, Seminyak and Pattaya.
  2. Some of the destinations that have remained common between 2017 and 2018 include Colombo and Kathmandu.
  3. From a domestic point of view, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune and Calangute which were visited by travellers in the first quarter of 2017 have been overtaken by Gwalior, Ahmedabad, Shirdi and Ujjain in 2018.

 

According to Vikas Bhola, Head for the Indian Sub-Continent, Booking.com, “The new year has started on a good note for the travel industry as trends indicate that both domestic and international travel has been on an upswing. Indian travellers are increasingly indulging in bleisure and opting for small breaks during the long weekends as a result of which we are seeing a busy travel season in the first quarter of the year.”
